Founded in 1951 by
Dick Yin Wong, Ben Lau and Richard C. Lo, the firm has had a number of
prestigious professionals on its staff – including the Honorable Dick
Yin Wong, who went on to become a Circuit Court Tax Judge for the State
of Hawaii; George “Scotty” Koga, who was later elected as a Honolulu
City Councilman; and Paul Devens, who served as Corporation Counsel and
later as Managing Director of the City & County of Honolulu.
The firm
represents clients such as Central Pacific Bank (as its general legal
counsel), in well-known commercial
transactions and is also no stranger to high profile litigation, having
represented clients in heptachlor and asbestos cases.
